On Thursday, May 22nd, VAS held its first "Wii Night", to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Approximately 125 students, teen, and adults participated in tournament style play of Guitar Hero III and Wii Bowling. Over $400.00 was raised for the American Cancer Society..In order to be as fair as possible, there were three age groups: K-2, 3-5, and Teen / Adult. The event culminated in a head to head face-off between participants in each age group, which was played in front of the school, on a 10 foot tall projection screen. Winners of Guitar Hero were second grader Brittany Stewart and fourth grader Michael Stewart. Third grader Kately Jones won the Wii Bowling Tournament.
