Hyde Park Central School District

In order to ensure a high quality of administrator performance to advance the instructional programs of the schools, a continuous plan for administrator evaluation will be established by the Board. Information pertaining to the evaluation program will be filed in accordance with State Education Department requirements.

The evaluation process will include:

  1. An ongoing review of techniques and procedures for making evaluations. New techniques and procedures that would contribute to a staff member's understanding of his or her strengths and weaknesses will be used.
  2. Goals and objectives that are understood and agreed upon by administrative staff. The criteria should be built around the established educational philosophy, goals, objectives and educational program developed and accepted by the professional staff of the school district.
  3. Application of the information gained to the planning of staff development and inservice training activities, which will be designed to improve instruction and increase competence.

The Superintendent shall make regular reports to the Board concerning the outcome of these evaluations.
