The Board of Education recognizes the right of community citizens to register individual or group concerns regarding instruction, district programs, materials, operations, and/or staff members. The goal of this district is to resolve such concerns as close to their origin as possible.
Complaints about the school district will be directed as follows:

Complaints about Board practices and policies and unresolved complaints referred by the superintendent. Complaints submitted to the Board of Education must be made in writing and include the reason it has not been resolved. Complaints submitted to the Board of Education will be answered within 30 days. |
At each level, if the complaint cannot be resolved by the staff member, the complainant will be referred to the next person to contact. Individual Board of Education members and staff members who are contacted about complaints for which they are not immediately responsible (for example, if a director is immediately contacted about a classroom issue) will direct the complainant to the appropriate person.
