5 31 1.2 STUDENT GOVERNMENT The Board of Education acknowledges the importance of offering students the opportunity to participate in self-government within the establishment of the schools. Students shall have the right to organize, conduct meetings and elect officers and representatives. The Board will recognize the Student Government as the official voice of the student body for students in grades seven through twelve for the purpose of providing students with practical experience in organizing, planning and effecting outcomes in a democratic manner. The Board shall appoint a qualified member of the faculty to serve as advisor to the Student Government. The student government organization shall function with respect to its constitution and bylaw provisions. Any revisions to the charter, constitution or bylaws of the Student Government duly adopted by the members of the student body it represents shall be approved by the Building Principal before implementation.
