5312.3 SMOKING The Board of Education recognizes the health hazards associated with smoking and, therefore, prohibits smoking or the use of tobacco-related products by students in school buildings, within school vehicles, on school property or at school-sponsored activities. Students caught violating this policy will be subject to disciplinary penalties in accordance with applicable Board policies and state law. The Board policy on smoking will be prominently posted in each school building. The Board will, upon request, furnish a written copy of the smoking policy to current and prospective employees.
