Principal’s Note
Richard Wert- NES Principal
And another school year comes to a close!
The month of June is always something to look forward to-so many great end-of-year
Events and the excitement of the final days of the school year! I’m looking forward to seeing our families at the Ice Cream Festival, 5th Grade Moving Up Day, Kindergarten Circus, and the other celebrations taking place. At least two of our classes are planning stage productions for the end of the school year.
Your child’s final report card for 2009 2010 school year will be brought home by them on Thursday, June 24th. As we are again unsure of how many sections of each grade level we will have for next year, as well as staffing changes, your child’s 2010-1011 class placement will be announced in August. We will be sending home a supply list for their grade level with the report card so you can get a jump on the back-to-school savings!
I sincerely hope you and your family enjoyed a productive school year at Netherwood.
We’ll be working away over the summer to prepare for the 2010-2011 school year. If you drop by over the summer, be sure to make the office your first stop!
Have a wonderful summer!
Rick

Just a few important reminders:
-Netherwood doors open at 9:15am; please do not drop your child off before that time.
-There is a drop-off loop in the lower parking lot. Cars are not allowed in the front driveway during arrival/dismissal time.
-When you enter the building please make you first stop at the main office. A visitor's badge is required when in the building.
-Dismissal begins at 3:35pm If you need to pick up your child, the sign-out sheet is in the main lobby.
-Many teachers ask for parent volunteers. Be sure to talk with your child's teacher if you would like to work in the classroom. All visits with the teachers need to be pre-arranged. Keep in mind that our special area teachers sometimes look for volunteers as well.
Our purpose at Netherwood Elementary is to create a positive school community where everyone is motivated to succeed, encouraged to excel, and respected as individuals.
Go Netherwood!
