NETHERWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Principal’s Note Our purpose at Netherwood Elementary is to create a positive school community where everyone is motivated to succeed, encouraged to excel, and respected as individuals. Thank you for visiting Netherwood’s website. Please take a few moments to browse through the information and pictures posted here, and learn more about our school community. Many of our teachers have websites dedicated to their classrooms and the many special activities they host throughout the year. Netherwood Elementary is a community-based school, and a part of the Hyde Park Central School District. There are approximately 65 staff members working with nearly 400 students at our beautiful 23-acre campus. Parental support is a key ingredient for a child's success in school. School staff members use one-to-one conferences, newsletters and phone calls to keep parents informed. Parents can strengthen this home-school communication by contacting the school with questions or concerns, as well. Additionally, there are numerous ways for parents to become involved at Netherwood. Teachers are frequently looking for volunteers to help with events and activities. The Netherwood PTA is a highly active and dedicated group of adults committed to providing the best possible learning environment and experiences for our students - more information about the PTA can be found on this website. Thank you for your support. Please stay involved with your child's education. Together, we can make a difference! By working together as parents, teachers, and staff, we can provide a rich, meaningful learning experience for the students of Netherwood. Go Netherwood! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school by phone at 229-4055 or via email at richard.wert@hydeparkschools.org.
