Arbor Day Celebration

On Friday, April 24, 2009, the students at Ralph R. Smith Elementary School participated in a school-wide event to celebrate Arbor Day. We all looked on as some students and staff helped plant a tree at our school led by our principal, Rachael Turner, along with Mr. Moughan, Mrs. Arena, and Mrs. Knapp. Some facts were told about Arbor Day, and several students read some poems that they had written. We culminated the activity to celebrate Earth Day from earlier in the week with a school-wide walk around the field.
