Ralph R. Smith's Annual Science Fair

On Tuesday, February 27th we held our annual Science Fair. We had 172 students participate. There was a wide variety of scientific experiments presented. Each student explained their project to a "senior scientist" from Mrs. Culley's Earth Science class at Haviland Middle School. Students received a score for their understanding of the scientific process. Each scientist received a ribbon for his/her efforts. The work that these students did was impressive! All classes got to spend time walking through the gym, looking at the projects during the day. On Tuesday evening, family and friends got to view all of the displays. Congratulations to all of our scientists on a job well done!!!

There were 21 students from Ralph R. Smith that entered the Hyde Park District Science Fair. We were proud of all of our scientists for the extra effort they put into this. Of the 21 that entered, we had five winners! They were Joey Colaizzo, Martin Feery, Tyler Laibinis, Kyle Phillips, and Sarah Pruner. Congratulations to all - you made us proud!!!
