Use Of Facilities

The school district encourages use of school facilities, including gyms and ball fields, by citizens, civic groups, and other nonprofit community organizations, providing that such use does not interfere with the regular school program. School functions, have precedence over those of other agencies.

Applications for use of the facilities (available at all school and administration offices or by clicking HERE) should be made at least two weeks in advance. For gyms, applications should be filed as early as possible.

A custodian regularly employed by the district shall open and close the building and have authority to act for the best interest of the district. The organization will be billed for custodial services that are above the normal work load and when the building is used at a time when the custodian is not normally on duty (such as weekends). If police service is required by the district for some activities (e.g., traffic control), the organization using the facilities will be billed for this service.

All fund raising organizations are reminded that the Hyde Park Central School District has a pouring rights contract with Pepsi Cola of the Hudson Valley and that only beverages purchased through them are to be sold on school grounds. For information on how to order beverages, please follow this link.
