Steps for Signing Up
Benefits of Meal Pay

Fast and Convenient. Parents can make online or telephone payments with a check, debit or credit card - at their convenience, anytime / anywhere.

Easy for Everyone. School Districts, Parents, and Kids alike will love Mealpay automated prepayments.

TO SIGN UP:
  1. Go to MealPay.com or call 1-866-244-8109
  2. Click on "how it works"
  3. Read the page and click on "click here to register now"
  4. Read the information and click on “"Start Registration"
  5. Fill in all the required information such as name, address, etc.
  6. Select a Username you will remember
  7. Select Password-use a combination of Capital letters, numbers, or characters between 7 and 20 characters long
  8. Confirm password
  9. Type a hint for your password and click "next"
  10. Select New York from the State pull down box and Hyde Park Central School District from the District pull down box
  11. Add your child Id number in the Student ID box, add each student individually and 'click' the Add Student Button (If you do not know your child’s id number please call and we will help, 229-4006) If your child’s number is less than 5 digits you will need to add a leading 0
  12. Confirm your profile
  13. Confirm your email and click "next"
  14. At this point you will have to leave the site and check for an email, at the address you used. In the email you will have to click on the “Registration is done” link. This will take you back to the site.
  15. After you set up the initial setup, your Username and Password can be entered from the opening page on line and you will go directly to your child’s account showing balances and giving you the option to make a payment or update student account information

Meal Accounts & General Accounts
The Meal Pay System gives you the Parent the option of placing Money on your child’s account in two different accounts.

The Meal Account:
A Meal account allows students to purchase only one complete Federally recognized meal per day at breakfast and lunch. Your child cannot purchase any other item in the cafeteria; including additional complete meals, additional drinks/milk, or any "a la carte" (separately priced side/entree dishes) items. This account will not allow your child to purchase extra milk or extra entrees.

The General Account:
General account is the most common account used by the school cafeteria that allows students to purchase any item in the cafeteria; including complete meals, additional drinks/milk and "a la carte"; (separately priced side/entree dishes) items.

The Food Service Department of Hyde Park Schools and the school cafeterias operate only on the funds we receive from each student, the Federal & State governments and "a la carte" sales. Meal Pay is not a free service, there is a 4.75% charge for each transaction, paid directly to Meal Pay Plus. There will be a $4.75 fee for each check returned for insufficient funds.
